Finance and Marketing double major Joseph F. Lorono is currently working toward his Bachelor of Science degree. Determined to build his skills and make the most of his academic pursuits, Joseph Lorono has sought and obtained a number of internships with a variety of different companies. Joseph Lorono’s first internship was with Klingenstein, Fields, & Co., LLC, a wealth management and advisory firm based in New York City. In his role as an Equity Research Intern, Joseph Lorono was responsible for a broad range of tasks, including assisting the buy-side research and portfolio management team, building a discounted cash flow model for the Coca-Cola Company, conducting macro research, and participating in internal meetings and conferences. Joseph Lorono’s determination and steady academic standing won him an internship with Support Water in 2008 as a Research and Development Intern. At Support Water, a company that donates portions of its proceeds to charitable causes, Joseph Lorono assisted with new product development for the flavored water division, worked with distribution representatives, and developed a new business plan for the charity water division. In addition to his academic internships, Joseph Lorono also worked for the Lorono Construction Corporation, coordinating and supervising subcontractors; liaising among clients, employees, and management; and overseeing delivery and orders. A Rye, New York resident, Joseph F. Lorono currently spends the majority of the school year in New Orleans, Louisiana. In his leisure time, Joseph Lorono enjoys sports like football, softball, and soccer, in addition to outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and wake boarding. Joseph Lorono is expected to graduate in 2009.
